IVR
Also called: Interactive Voice Response
IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is an automated phone system that greets callers, offers menu options by keypad or voice, and routes each call to the right person or department without a receptionist.
IVR in dealership marketing
For a dealership, IVR means a sales enquiry, a service booking, and a spare-parts question each reach the right desk immediately, and no call to the main number goes unanswered during a busy Saturday. Calls can be recorded and logged against the lead in the CRM.
IVR runs on either a normal number or a toll-free number. Toll-free numbers are typically priced by usage minutes, while normal numbers are priced as a flat monthly rental.
