Google Business Profile
Also called: GBP, Google My Business, GMB
Google Business Profile is the free listing that controls how a dealership appears in Google Maps and in the local results on Google Search, including its name, address, hours, photos, reviews, posts, and the call and directions buttons.
Google Business Profile in dealership marketing
For most dealerships it is the single highest-traffic page they own, because it is what a buyer sees when they search for a brand plus a city or a 'near me' term. It was called Google My Business until 2021, and many dealers still use the old name.
A complete, actively managed profile with fresh photos, answered reviews, and correct categories consistently outranks a neglected one, which is why local SEO for dealerships starts here rather than with the website.
