Verified lead
Also called: Verified buyer lead, Phone-verified lead
A verified lead is an enquiry that has been confirmed by a phone conversation before it reaches the dealership's sales team, checking that the person genuinely intends to buy, has a realistic budget for the vehicle they asked about, and is in a location the dealership can serve.
Verified lead in dealership marketing
The word 'verified' is used loosely in the lead-generation market. Some vendors mean only that the phone number connects. A verified lead in the stricter sense has been qualified on intent, budget, and location, so a salesperson picking it up is talking to a buyer, not a browser.
Verification matters because unqualified volume trains a sales floor to treat every enquiry as low-priority, which slows response even to the buyers who were ready. Fewer, verified leads usually convert to more showroom visits than a larger unfiltered list.
