Speed to lead
Also called: Lead response time
Speed to lead is the time between a buyer submitting an enquiry and the dealership's first meaningful response, measured in minutes rather than hours because buyers in competitive markets are usually talking to several showrooms at once.
Speed to lead in dealership marketing
In dense dealer markets such as Delhi NCR or Mumbai, a buyer who enquires with three showrooms often commits to whichever responds first with something useful. Speed to lead is therefore a conversion lever a dealership controls entirely on its own.
The practical fix is automation for the first response, usually on WhatsApp, followed by a human call once intent is confirmed, with the sales team notified in real time so no enquiry sits unanswered overnight.
